Data Storage & Security
Your files and account data are stored on infrastructure located in South Africa. We implement the following security measures:
- AES-256 encryption for stored files
- HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit
- Two-factor authentication (OTP) for account access
- Rate limiting and DDoS protection via Cloudflare
- Regular security audits and access controls
- Bcrypt password hashing — passwords are never stored in plain text
While we take all reasonable precautions, no system is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you within 72 hours as required by POPIA.
Third-Party Services
We use the following trusted third-party services to operate our platform:
- Supabase — authentication and database (servers may be located outside SA)
- Cloudflare — DDoS protection, CDN, and security (global infrastructure)
- Google — OAuth sign-in (if you choose "Continue with Google")
- Google Fonts — typography (no personal data shared)
Each of these providers has their own privacy policies. By using KenexVault, you acknowledge that some data processing may occur outside South Africa, subject to appropriate safeguards.
Your Rights Under POPIA
As a data subject under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correction — request that inaccurate information be corrected
- Deletion — request that your personal information be deleted
- Objection — object to the processing of your personal information
- Portability — download your files and data at any time
- Complaint — lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa

Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as required by law. Upon account cancellation:
- Your files are deleted from our servers within 30 days
- Account data is anonymised within 90 days
- Billing records are retained for 5 years as required by SARS
- You may request immediate deletion by contacting support
Children's Privacy
KenexVault services are not directed at children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us immediately at [email protected].
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or a prominent notice on our platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of KenexVault after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using KenexVault's services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable South African laws. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use our services.
These Terms constitute a binding agreement between you and KenexVault (Pty) Ltd (Reg: 2026/427579/07), a private company registered in South Africa.
Our Services
KenexVault provides the following services:
- Web Hosting — static website hosting on subdomains of kenexvault.com
- Cloud Storage — secure file storage accessible via your dashboard
- AI Site Builder — AI-powered website generation tool
- Custom Domains — pointing your own domain to your hosted site (where available)
Account Registration
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account
- One person may not maintain multiple active accounts
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to use KenexVault to host, store, or distribute:
- Illegal content under South African law
- Malware, viruses, or malicious code
- Content that infringes on intellectual property rights
- Phishing sites, scam pages, or fraudulent content
- Adult content or pornographic material
- Content promoting violence, hate speech, or discrimination
- Spam or unsolicited communications
- Content that violates any person's privacy rights
- Cryptocurrency mining scripts
Violation of acceptable use policies will result in immediate account suspension without refund. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms without prior notice.
Plans, Pricing & Billing
- All prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable
- Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance
- There are no setup fees or hidden charges
- You may cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard
- Upon cancellation, your service remains active until the end of the current billing period
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days written notice
14-Day Free Trial
New accounts receive a 14-day free trial. No payment information is required to start a trial. At the end of the trial period, you must select a paid plan to continue using the service.
Refund Policy
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on your first payment. Refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of payment to [email protected]. Refunds are processed within 7 business days.
Service Availability & Uptime
We aim to maintain 99.9% uptime for hosted websites. Planned maintenance will be communicated at least 24 hours in advance. Unplanned outages will be communicated via our support channels as soon as possible.
Uptime guarantees apply to our hosting infrastructure and do not cover:
- Scheduled maintenance windows
- Force majeure events (load shedding, natural disasters, etc.)
- Third-party service outages (Cloudflare, Supabase, etc.)
- Client-side issues (incorrect DNS configuration, etc.)
Intellectual Property
You retain full ownership of all content you upload to KenexVault. By uploading content, you grant KenexVault a limited licence to store, process, and serve your content solely for the purpose of providing our services.
KenexVault's platform, branding, code, and intellectual property remain the exclusive property of KenexVault (Pty) Ltd. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute our platform without written permission.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, KenexVault shall not be liable for:
- Loss of data due to hardware failure, cyberattack, or force majeure
- Loss of revenue or business resulting from service downtime
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Third-party service failures beyond our reasonable control
Our total liability in any circumstance shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.
We strongly recommend maintaining your own backups of all important files. KenexVault backups are provided as a best-effort service, not a guarantee.
Account Termination
Either party may terminate the service relationship at any time. KenexVault reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that:
- Violate these Terms of Service
- Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
- Have outstanding unpaid balances after 14 days
- Abuse our support or infrastructure systems
Upon termination, you have 30 days to download your files before they are permanently deleted from our servers.
Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts. We encourage resolution of disputes through direct communication before legal proceedings.
